Trovaso DM extension: privacy policy

Trovaso DM is a Chrome extension that helps Trovaso users send their own outreach messages on TikTok and Instagram. When you press “Send DM” in Trovaso, it opens the creator's chat in a tab and writes the message you prepared in Trovaso into the message box. You press Enter yourself: the extension never sends a message on its own.

What it reads

• On trovaso.com: the creator and the message you chose to send, handed over by the Trovaso page when you press “Send DM”.
• On tiktok.com (creator profiles and messages) and instagram.com (direct messages), only in the tab the extension opened: whether the message box is there, whether the chat already holds messages, whether the box was emptied (which means you sent it), and whether the site shows a slow-down notice or captcha.

It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history, your other conversations or your passwords.

What it stores

In your browser only (Chrome's extension storage): the creator currently being messaged, the number of messages sent today, and your Trovaso interface language. Nothing is stored on any server by the extension.

What it sends, and to whom

The extension sends no data to Trovaso's servers or to anyone else. It only tells your open Trovaso tab the outcome for each creator (sent, skipped, already messaged), so Trovaso can mark them in your account, exactly as if you had marked them by hand. It contains no analytics, no tracking and no ads, and it does not sell or share data.

Permissions

• storage: the in-browser state described above.
• scripting and access to trovaso.com: to connect Trovaso tabs that were already open when the extension was installed.
• Access to tiktok.com and instagram.com pages: to write the message into the chat you asked it to open.

Your account on TikTok and Instagram

Messages go out from your own logged-in account, by your own action. Respect each platform's terms and limits: TikTok and Instagram restrict accounts that start too many new conversations in a short time.
